Find Your Niche: Join a Special Interest Group!

Chicago SHRM offers four Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to serve and support members who are in a similar stage in their careers. 

The SIGs complement Chicago SHRM programming, and provide opportunities to develop HR knowledge and network in an intimate setting with your peers.

Most of our groups host educational sessions that allow you to stay current in areas relevant to your professional development. Most offer invitation-only networking events.

All of Chicago SHRM SIGs are supported by a group of volunteers who design initiatives or produce events.

  • Our Emerging HR Leaders group provides engaging professional development and networking opportunities for
    early-career professionals and other trailblazers in the field of HR. This vibrant group is all about collaborating to put your career on the fast track.

  • Our Mentoring Program can help you retool or reinvent your career. Seasoned professionals can sharpen coaching skills, while emerging leaders can supercharge their strategies.   • The College Relations Committee supports future HR leaders by getting involved in activities of the student chapters of DePaul, DeVry, Loyola, and Roosevelt universities.
