Reality-Based Leadership: Creating and Inspiring Better Business Results
Cy Wakeman, CSP, International Keynote Speaker, CIW

We are certainly in challenging times in our business world today.  Here’s the reality check - The fact that times are challenging is not the source of our pain. The source of our pain is the absence of great leadership based in reality.

And yet, in HR, we have worked on leadership for over fifty years with dismal outcomes.  We must become willing to admit that the ways in which we have taught our leaders to lead over the years is simply not working.  These times are calling for a new type of leader.  One who can bring peace, sanity, and results back to the workplace!

We need leaders who are willing and able to recreate mindsets in order to change circumstances and lead in a new and revolutionary way. A Reality-Based Leader is one who is able to quickly see and radically accept the reality of the situation, conserve precious team energy, and use that energy instead to impact reality.  Better yet, a great Reality-Based Leader anticipates the upcoming changes and capitalizes on the opportunity inherent in the situation without drama or defense.  This unforgettable session will provide HR professionals with an innovative new look at their roles.

Participants leave this session with the ability to:

  • Manage organizational change and lead a more effective way of working and leading
  • Reinforce core business values and behavioral expectations
  • Challenge conventional wisdom and implement the principles of Reality-Based LeadershipTM
  • Transform tools, programs, and philosophies into ones that actually work and that leaders use
  • Ditch the drama, return sanity to the workplace, and turn excuses into business results
