Toni Cornelius, CEO - TamarindTree Consulting

The firm focuses on the development of inclusive work environments “beyond the numbers” of traditional diversity initiatives. The goal is to assist organizations in identifying practical, actionable strategies, including leadership development for mangers and other high potential employees, to create sustainable progress toward productive, inclusive environments. During more than 30 years in the field of corporate human resources and development, Toni has driven both traditional human resource functions and the development and implementation of strategies that support and enhance diversity and inclusive efforts. Her experience includes organizational readiness, leadership development training,  talent acquisition, retention and workforce management. She has also operated as an independent consultant, providing guidance in the areas of change management program development, executive career coaching, website and media relations management, as well as general human resources. Toni earned her B.S. from Creighton University and her M.S. from Loyola University. She is a certified instructor of the Hogan Level I Leadership Assessment Program; an accredited instructor in the Hay Group Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI); a  Myers Briggs Type Indicator qualified instructor; and a certified coach for the Center for Creative Leadership, Executive Dimensions program.

Toni serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Chicago SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) and the Chicago Sinfonietta. She is a mentor in the Chicago Urban League IMPACT program and a recipient of the Chicago Defender 2016 Women of Excellence Award.
