Chicago SHRM Members Only

“Come prepared to share your experiences and learn from your peers”

There’s a cost when a company doesn’t know where their next round of leaders is going to come from.  Leaders worry what will happen if they lose that person with a unique skillset.  Employees look around, don’t see advancement opportunities, and look for positions elsewhere.  In this round-table discussion, attendees are invited to share their insights, problem-solve their challenges, and learn best-practices regarding succession planning.

Facilitator: Scott Herbst, Ph.D. is a behavior analyst and the owner of SixFlex Training & Consulting, a firm that helps companies leverage behavior science to align team performance, improve organizational results, and upgrade culture.  Author of dozens of articles in the academic and popular press on topics ranging from leadership, culture, and performance management systems, Scott works with growing businesses to develop cultures where front-line employees take accountability for the success of the organization.  As a coach, he works with business leaders to define and create company culture, communicate that vision, and implement the practices to align culture and vision.  In his free time, he enjoys doing stand-up comedy at open-mics all around the city.  Don’t get your hopes up; he’s not very good.
