Chicago SHRM’s HR Team UP was designed with you in mind…that “you” being ANYONE in the HR space looking to learn from and solve problems with other HR-minded people. As a TEAM, we will work together to lift UP one another and the HR practice. The best part, you drive the agenda. Whatever HR topic, challenge, question, or concern you have on your mind, bring it to the Team UP and we will all mental jungle gym together in a safe space. Using the collective knowledge and expertise of our peers, we will come together to help, support, and teach one another.
This event will feature four new software platforms in the recruiting, strategic planning, health and wellness and performance management space. Demos will be completed by actual users, not vendors. We will have plenty of time for all participants to get hands on and ask questions in an intimate setting. For this team up, we will be discussing:
- Elate, https://www.goelate.com/ - Elate is a platform that unifies internal technologies and disparate data sources (think CRM, accounting, etc.) into a simple interface that helps companies define, track and accelerate key initiatives with a single source of truth.
- HumanPredictions, https://humanpredictions.io/ - HumanPredictions is the most complete database for technology recruiting. Their platform gathers public data and uses machine learning to predict when people are more likely to be open to new job opportunities, respond to an email, be more likely to relocate, and identifies other key indicators that help improve how and when recruiters connect with candidates.
- 15Five, https://www.15five.com/ - 15Five is a continuous performance management suite that allows you to coach your employees quickly and effectively. It provides a simple way to plan and execute quick, effective one on one meetings with every employee on your team, track OKRs, provide ongoing visibility and celebrate big and little wins as a team.
- Slack and Donut, https://www.donut.com/ - Most everyone has heard of Slack - it is used by many organizations to enhance collaboration. There are several tools and “Slack bots” that take Slack further to increase employee engagement – Donut is just one of these tools - it helps foster connections as companies grow, makes onboarding easier and more effective and helps HR leaders support development of employees long past the onboarding phase. James Norris – Vice President of Finance, Springbuk
James Norris is the VP of Finance at Springbuk. Springbuk is a leading-edge Health Intelligence platform that helps employers and consultants manage their investments in population health by “preventing disease with data.” James leads Springbuk's finance, accounting, and legal teams and is deeply involved in the strategic direction of the company and business planning. James resides in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife, Lindsey and in his free time enjoys running marathons and cheering for his alma mater, Purdue University.
Shaunagh Vollmer – Vice President of Talent and Development, Vibes
Shaunagh Vollmer is the Vice President of Talent & Development at Vibes, a Chicago-based technology company focused on Mobile Marketing. Shaunagh has worked in the Talent space for 15 years, supporting hiring, training, and development for a variety of companies spanning the education and technology industries. When she is not thinking about supporting great work experiences, you can find her traveling, rock climbing, or enjoying the lakefront with her golden retriever, Oliver Brown.
Trinity Malito, Senior People Generalist, ActiveCampaign
Trinity has been a member of the HR team at ActiveCampaign, one of Chicago’s fastest growing technology companies for the past two and half years. Among her multiple responsibilities, Trinity leads the charge at ActiveCampaign to explore the cutting edge of HR software. She and her team have a specific mandate to test and try out the latest and greatest technology and introduce the best into the company. Prior to Active Campaign, Trinity was a Human Resources Associate at UI LABS, a manufacturing innovation accelerator located in Chicago. Trinity earned her bachelors degree in HR management and Hospitality Leadership from Depaul University and is SHRM – CP certified.
Byron Graham, Manager of Talent & Development - Awana
Byron Graham is the Manager of Talent & Development at Awana, the global leader in child and youth discipleship reaching over 4.5 million weekly. Byron specializes in Talent acquisition, development, and activation as he trains and coaches People Managers within the organization. On weekends you can find him watching football (Go Notre Dame!), doing handyman projects, and trying to catch a big one at nearby fishing holes.
