The Chicago SHRM Legal Forum in 2019 brings together an esteemed group of twelve legal and HR subject matter experts to discuss three important and timely HR issues: managing the ins, outs and nuances of employee investigations; managing challenging FMLA and ADA situations; and managing issues in compensation, including classification of contractors, exemptions under FLSA, expenses reimbursement and issues around foreign national compensation.  Join your HR colleagues on updated content and dialogue on these meaty topics are critical to HR business partners.  Along with the content, participants will assemble in small groups with the subject matter experts to work through real life issues to work through scenarios.

At the end of the program, participants will:

  • Know how to manage employee misconduct and investigations, and handle complications such as claims of discrimination, retaliation and harassment
